MPSO - Matshya Prani Samabesh Odisha, organised at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, has brought together all the sectors to a single platform with the exhibition field representing the animal and welfare sectors across the state. This initiative by the Government of Odisha has given the minor sectors a new opportunity for recognition and growth. Held for 3 days from 21st to 23rd January, had special attractions such as live animal display, live demonstrations of fisheries and dairy industries, farmer and technologist interactions and live programs.

Big step towards learning for GIEM Bhubaneswar

The students of GIEM Bhubaneswar got an opportunity to gain on-field experience for their persuing course in event management and marketing as well as to be a part of the event and acquire ground-level learning on event management. Our students worked closely with the teams to manage a highly targeted audience presentation. They got the opportunity to witness the showcase of crops, fisheries and dairy farming, and learn more about the farming community.

This event has also been an opportunity for the students to understand the core rural India as well as modern farming and adapt products accordingly. The best management and organised set-up has been a great reason for crowd management and a smooth display of all the sectors. Being a part, our students had earned a huge experience working on event execution by direct coordination with the management team.

Hands on Experience to manage large scale events

The students of GIEM Bhubaneswar worked across multiple departments of the event, taking up key responsibilities in marketing, PR, and social media management, which provided them with valuable hands-on experience and practical learning on how large-scale events are executed smoothly and efficiently. They actively contributed to the production and organizing teams, gaining exposure to crucial aspects of event management such as location set-up, event branding, event marketing, live promotions, and crowd control.

In addition to this, our students were also involved in various other core operational departments including Branding, Electricity and technical support, PR and Social Media coordination, and served as Expo Zone In-Charges, ensuring seamless coordination between exhibitors and visitors. By working in these diverse roles, they developed strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, while gaining real-time experience in managing responsibilities that are essential for the successful execution of high-impact events.

Key attraction for the audience

The cultural shows and live demonstration events have been a huge attraction for every audience and have also been a significant reason for the crowd attraction. Knowledge, entertainment, visual displays and exceptional event management have made this event a great success. All thanks to the Govt of Odisha and the F&ARD Department for such a powerful initiative to connect rural India with modern technologies.
